Purchased a reconditioned Diablo Sport T2 ex. Loaded custom 91 octane canned tune options with the tune were turn off DOD/AFM. Transmission hard shift. Turn off Speed Limiter.
Wow. Didnt make much difference fuel wise.

Yes, I used mine all the time. The only drawback was my car is not a daily driver so if I left the device in for longer than 4 days without using my car, my battery sometimes died. All I do is plug it in when I want to use it and unplug when I was done. I'll be getting a tune soon so I'll no longer need it anymore.

Why not tune the car and get the benefits of a better transmission tune in addition to AFM being disabled? These cars with a proper tune are a whole different animal.

Pages of threads on this. A Range is a pretty cool device that does as advertised - unless you buy an older one. Then it may throw a code on ocassion. But Range says they will update it for free. I never did. I eventually got a tune. But even those are not completely trouble free. But that’s a broad statement...

Have had one plugged in for over a year now; works as advertised with no side effects (i.e. haven't had a code or any other issues)

Used one for about a year and half till I decided to put on headers, which required a tune. Only problem I had was, as previously mentioned, since it isn't a daily driver, if I forgot to unplug it, the battery would go dead after about 4 days. Other than, worked as advertised. did not throw any codes.

However, as also said, once I got it tuned, it really woke up and unleashed the beast.

RANGE

Use one everyday for about 4 years I do get the occasional gremlin
that causes the gages to go crazy but I just unplug it for 5 minutes and plug it back in with no more issues. A tune is in the near future just need to find a good tuner in or around Orlando. Anyone know of one?

Just so you know a lot of people end up just getting a performance tune and shut that off. Reason being is yes you shut off the AFM but you also get added performance. Now just so you guys know even with disabling the AFM you are still at risk of the common lifter failure. So technically a DOD delete kit is suggested but we offer the shutoff in our normal performance tune also. If you guys have any questions message me or call me at 313-561-5500 my name is Jake thanks

Have it. Use it. Love it. I installed mine on side of the center console using a cable with an inline switch to turn it on/off and prevent battery drain.

rich6111- with the switch in off position it's the same as not having the Range device even plugged in. Zero battery drain.
