got screwed today...

went to the dealership because my A/C stopped working and thought "oh hey that extended warranty i got should cover it!" well they told me because a rock hit the condenser that it wasn't covered under the warranty and now i gotta pay $880 for a new one or deal with Las Vegas summer with no A/C. extremely pissed

It's not warranted against rocks breaking stuff just factory defects. Talk to your insurance most time it won't go up for things like that. Also 500 is cheaper than 880

have to agree - you didn't get screwed. Warranty covers manufacturers defects & workmanship errors, not rocks.

Damn your comprehensive deductible is $500?!?! I mean if a rock hit it it means the rock was moving which means it's generally covered under comprehensive which in most states is alot cheaper deductible then $500 i'd look into that to unless your insurance just likes your money that much of course.

I don't either.

Your warranty is for defects in parts.
A rock puncturing your condenser is not a defect, that is what insurance is for.

fairway out here blows. bozarth is worth the drive but this is a insurance issue. if your not at fault your deducible will not go up. it will not help you now but once you get it dealt with lower your deductible, dropped min down to 250 after i had a car destroyed in my work parking garage. made a $2 a month difference

More unfortunate than screwed. Might as well give insurance a call up and see what they can do, do you know people that know people, self install?

that depends. if you've been with the same company for awhile and haven't filed a claim your insurance probably wont go up over them paying out $400

you choose your deductible in most states on both collision and comprehensive
