I found a decent solution to this problem. They're called fingers. You use them to feel things.

Thanks for all the advice guys! I can always count on everyone here to solve such complicated issues. I really liked the idea of putting fur around the key slot.
Now, can we talk about my problem getting the gas nozzle in without scratching the paint? I swear, its not angled right.
Im just glad my thread didnt get moved somewhere for once. lol!
