Think my only regret with the RS package is the summer tires, would have preferred All-season for my situation.

The lights however are superb, and the rims accent the car well, it's enabled me to hold off on modding as I get settled into school again. I do agree however that with black cars the molding is kind of a null point.

Hoping the Gen 6 offers a all-season RS option if possible, though I know the staggered wheels might make price an issue.

Technically it isn't any cheaper. Sure you don't really notice it, but they are still giving you black painted moldings instead of unpainted black plastic.

The RS package makes it for me. It was a must-have on both my LT and my SS.

Just got a 2014 2LT with the RS package. The dealer only had 4 total 2014s and they all had the RS package. I don't like the non-RS look as much. The HIDs on the RS are worth it alone to me. To each their own though.

The OP is looking at possibly purchasing a 2LT convertible (which he didn't mention, unless he's changed his mind).

MY '10 & '11 had tinted taillights with RS package only. Effective with the 2012 MY, they were standard on all models.

4-pack auxillary gauges are standard on all 2LT & 2SS models, irrespective whether RS or non-RS (to the best of my recollection).

MY '12, changed the sharkfin antenna to body colored with the RS package.

OP, it's financially more advantageous to get the RS option because of the larger wheels and HIDs unless you KNOW you'll never want 20" wheels or the HIDs. As others have mentioned, adding these aftermarket is going to be expensive.

Back to the OP: all SS Camaros come with 20" wheels and summer tires, whether RS or not.

20" wheels and summer tires are an RS upgrade only on V6 cars.

On an SS, you don't get that much by ordering RS.

another thing, 20" tires are much more common (cheaper) than 19's.

Not to mention the HIDs really light up the road - a very welcome feature out here in the country with deer and other varmits everywhere.
