2SSRS for $1800 below MSRP!!!!!!!!

This is my first post but I've been reading the boards trying make up my mind. I just got a hell of a deal yesterday on my new 2SSRS. In case any one hasn't heard, there are 2 discounts that can apply to Camaro. The first is a credit union discount. If you aren't a member find one on GM's list in your area and join. It worked out to $1300+ off because they give you supplier pricing. The catch is that not all dealers are honoring the rebate(Reliable Chevy in Dallas). If you're about to get your order in or found what you want on a lot, this is a sweet deal. You just have sign up through the link on the chevy site and get an approvl code to get the discount.

The other discount is opting out of the 60 day challenge can get an extra $500.

If any has a GM CC and plans on using points, they will not work with the CU discount so use what ever gets you the most disount.

On a side note, James Woods in Denton didn't realize that both discounts apply, but since they didn't tell me that I couldn't have both(I asked), they gave it to me since anyway this I drove all the from south of Austin to Denton, TX (4 hrs). The 4 hour drive home on southbound 35 was priceless. Total deal $3100 off MSRP and only 3.99% on the note.

The dealers around Chrleston absolutely refuse to honor any discount. No USAA dicount. No supplier pricing. My wife is an accountant for the drive shaft manufacturer for all zeta model GMs. No dealership would touch the discount. Plus they are charging 8-10K over sticker because of "high demand/low supply". Hell, they even gave me a hard time about giving me a military discount...

That sucks man sorry to hear that. I hit the jackpot with the dealer i got my car with. All they want to do it please me any way they can. They honored the loyalty discount and only sell at MSRP plus saved all the important stuff for the car like the build sheets and window sticker . My salesmen emailed me if i wanted the front plate bracket on which of course i said no. They went even farther then that the salesmen is having all the employees sign a 2010 camaro brochure for me knowing how much i love this car and how important it is to me. Camaroscotty would be proud to put them on the dealer recommended list .

3.99% Interest????

Did you say that you are paying 3.99% for your new car for 5 years or 6 years?
is that the going rate if you have perfect credit?

3.99 interest

it's for 5 years and yes my credit it good. I had a good rate preapproved before I got to dealer. This was a GMAC have to have rate. Basically, non-published rate they were able to get so the loan would be through GMAC.

Would you mind telling us what your middle score is so we know what is considered "good" through GMAC?

Got screwed by original dealer in Eufuala, Oklahoma on November 3, 2009.
Found new one at Paddock Chevrolet and drove 2400 miles roundtrip to pick her up in Buffalo, New York on Nov. 5, 2009.

We didn't even go over the scores to be honest. I keep a pretty tight rope on my finances. I wasn't worried about the score since I already had 3.99 from my CU before I even got to the lot.

"Low supply" dealers are often the ones who don't move many cars, and therefore don't get many allocations. They are countuing on stupid buyers. Some dealers are discounting Camaros some already. Tell those Charleston dealers to stick it where the sun don't shine!!!! I'd drive a ways to get a discount! And if you wait a few months, a lot more dealers will be a lot more reasonable!

Is it possible to get the GM military discount AND the USAA discount if the dealer acknowledges both?

My car is still at railyard, but I did the paperwork on saturday....
2SS Inferno Orange/polished 20" wheels/blk rally stripes....MSRP $35565

Discounts
USAA $750
Credit Union $1070
Cancelled 60 day return $500

total off of MSRP $2320

Walked out saving tax/title/license and a little more....Cant wait to pick it up. Worth looking around for a dealer that honors the discounts

Is that the standard price for the credit union? Or will that price fluctuate with different credit unions?

the credit union discount is basically the supplier pricing discount and that will vary based on the model you get. Obviously, the LT has let markup than the 2SS so the net discount for a 2SS is bigger. Mine was about 1300 for the 2ss. Plus the discount is only on the base sticker, not the add-on's like RS, sunroof or rims.
