Do you feel that the scoop's build and the way it's mounted can long term handle the weight of the tank, pump, and 2 quarts of fluid? I don't have a scoop yet so just curious.

I had not considered that. I do not believe it will be a problem. It is made from aluminum sheet. The vertical wall is only about 4 inches tall and the depth is about the same.

Should be solid enough to hold the washer fluid tank...

Really creative. Looks good. I just stuck a cheap WWF tank where the old airbox post is next to the CAI box.

But if I had to do it over I would get the new Roto-Fab tank. Check it out.

Sorry, I figured it was assumed from the earlier question.

mlee - thanks looks like a total of two pop rivets and the method of mounting more than enough to support the side loaded weight.

Going to check on ordering later this morning.

One of the vendors here on the forum has agreed to carry this washer assembly. It will take a few weeks to get parts from the manufacturer. All of the details are being worked out and will be posted as soon as possible.

I'm in. Now is one of those times where I wished I had patience.

The last I heard was on Monday, the vendor was getting ready to place an order with the manufacturer.

Install Update

With the setup as previously described, if I overfilled the tank, the excess would leak out through the vented lower cap. I switched the caps back the way I had it originally with the unvented cap on the tank. I then put a section of 1/4in tubing inside of the original tubing all the way down to the fitting on the tank. I expect this to act as a vent to eliminate the pressure build up that previously prevented the tank from filling. Unfortunately, I did not have the lower cap tight enough when I filled it. I had water leak past the cap threads. Therefore, I am not yet certain that this fixes the problem but I expect it will. Here are some pics of the final install of the remote fill.
