Pics do this mod justice. IMO never looked exactly right so avoided keeping it. When installed never appeared evenly distributed. At different angles it looked great, but the overall effect wasn't there for me

Someone would make a ton of money doing this mod correctly and reselling as a one piece kit.

I went about it the same way Hypnos did, with where to start and end the wires. Connected it to the yellow wire coming from traction control and it comes on when the auto lights do. also it works with the dimmer switch.

so I've been watching this thread for a while and have decided i really want to do this. I have a few questions.

seems the easiest way is with the all inclusive light bought at Pep Boys/AutoZone. I don't have a Pep Boys around here and AutoZone/Advance doesn't have. I see that SJM sells 5mm light pipes but the store bought stuff is 3mm. Do i need a 3mm light pipe or will a 5mm work?

Anyone done this in the stock Aqua color from the ABLs on the doors? Where did you get your LEDs from?

Thanks for any help.

5mm is big for this. We tried finding good, 3mm pipes but didn't have any luck. :(

We have both GM Ice Blue and aftermarket options in that color.

Ok so you guys have the PnP harness and the aqua blue (ice blue) LEDs, I just need to find a decent, flexible 3mm light pipe approx 40" long and I'm good to go?

Also, if I used the PnP harness for a dash ABL install, couldn't I just t-tap the hot wire from this right into that so they all run together?

I'd say so.

Yep, that is what we would suggest.

earlier in the thread it says these aren't available from Pep Boys online. Turns out now they are:

https://www.pepboys.com/product/details/833514/01036

use offer code MMJ30 for 30% off

I ordered two (i might mess one up). Once i get caught up on installs and i'm ready for this, i'll be ordering a few more accessories from you guys. Thanks for your help.

So this is thing enough (3mm) to fit around a manual shift boot? Would love to get it in red.

We can supply a PnP LED for it, but we don't have the 3mm light pipe.

Try searching for 3mm fiber optic on AliExpress, no problem! They have the round and the side glow style.
