Yeah I'm in the bad top group now 😞

As title states. Found this hole that for the life of me can't figure out how it got there. Was detailing it yesterday so my son could use it for prom and found it. This is the seam on the drivers side. Best part is that I am 4K miles past the warranty

It is from rubbing when the top is down, mine had a small hole as well and had a shop fix it, opposed to hearing all the problems the dealer has trying to replace tops, and the water bag system.
I would still contact your local dealer and Chevrolet customer care to see what they can do. Try to use your tonneau cover in the meantime it will help with any rubbing in this area.

Tonneau cover is a must for these cars. I never drive anywhere with the top down without the tonneau cover put on.

I almost never use my cover. I think it's more how your top is adjusted. My new top (3 years old now) was adjusted properly when it was installed and does not come close to this trim.

I've replaced tops before on my own and ALWAYS get them to fit correctly and none of the vehicles had a cover for them. I will have to take a look and see what I can do since he dealer isn't willing and we all know GM says "up yours" on top issues

I have driven hundreds of miles without putting the tonneau cover on without any issues. It's all how the top is adjusted, as was stated above.

Use the Tonneau cover period..You run risk of the top being caught by turbulence, that is why they made it.

These older tops do not adjust to come even close to where the newer replacement top and frame upgrade sit.

Tonneau cover makes no difference, I had one and used it regularly and still had 4 tops in 3 years on my 2012 and it ended up being bought back from GM.

the bottom line is the design is crap, and the fixes GM has in place don't actually fix the issue, this is why GM changed their warranty coverage wording in indicate that convertible parts and components are not covered after the 3/36 in any of their extended warranty options.

Well called the dealer today to see what happens. Not too happy. I feel dumb having 3 garage full of GM product. Had issues with my last purchase too

This is fact.
