Old school “SS” logos for Heritage grill?
I have the white 5th gen “SS” logos from Phastech on my heritage grill, but have been contemplating going with the old school emblems. Anyone know of a direct swap option? I’d also like to go with the old style on the rear while I’m at it. Thanks.

No one? I tried emblem pros and Camaro central, but they only have reproduction 1st and 2nd gen grill emblems that would have to be modified to fit.

Grill:
https://www.ss396.com/camaro/TG-921.html Rear: https://www.ebay.com/itm/69-Camaro-S...MAAOSwV~VaOEID I cut the posts off of the rear and used double sided tape. May have to put a slight bend in it also. I had these on my car for a few years before going with candy blue bowties.

Similar to what JJ said above. I cut back the posts and used a die to cut threads in the soft metal to a nut size. You could stay with those push on nuts but I wanted something more secure. The angle is slightly different so you can bend it or just mount it, it's close enough. You can use that backing plate or big washers or cut the backing plate smaller so it doesn't show from the front. I was working on a 1969 ZL1 OEM GM style bowtie not the SS but same thing.
Rear: The bend would not work with the 1969 bowtie easily so I used the common vinyl wrap color change the original method instead. So can't add any ideas to what JJ said on that. |
