Angry So Mad

So today I went to attend an American Classic, Hotrod, and Muscle/Pony Car show/meet. I have attended this meet in the past, with my Camaro, and had no problems. Hell, I even had my friend bring out his 2008 Lamborghini Supperlegerra to this exact meet with no problems or questions. Anyways, I was pulling into the show and about to back into a spot, when the coordinator comes up to me and says, " Look son, here's the deal with this show, you either need to have a classic, a hotrod, or a muscle car." And I reply with, " Uhhhh I'm driving a Camaro, that doesn't count?" and he responded with " Not the V6 son." I was so mad. I almost told the guy to go shove it where the sun don't shine. I almost burned out of there. I was so infuriated that just because I don't have a V8, I was told to leave a show and that I'm not a pony car or worthy to be in the show EVEN THOUGH I WAS THE ONLY 5TH GEN TO ATTEND THESE SHOWS. In fact, the definition of Pony car has nothing to do with engine size/power.

sorry I needed somewhere to vent.

oh and btw, I had more horses than anything else that was at the show currently when I arrived...

umm it has a lot to do with power...a lot of ponies makes a pony car tho at 312 hp...you should still be a pony car.

Where exactly was this show? Didn't see it on any of the show sites. Bring your V6 to the St. Pete pier next week for the charity benefit show. Should be quite a few 5th gens out there.

It was at a DQ near Citrus Park mall. And I'll see about that show man, funds are short, I really try to hit up free stuff lol...

I would sue the organization for hurting your pride. What if you had a Grand National, that had a V6 that was turning high 12s and 13s. Yeh the guy was being an Asshole.

You V8 guys don't know how much better you are making me feel lol.

I put everything I had into this car, I bought it myself, I'm making the payments, its my baby, and for me being a 20 year old kid, I'd say thats damn good.

But this guy ruined my entire night by doing this. I run a car meet/show myself at my local University and have NEVER been rude to anyone that came out to support our meet/show even if they drove a ricer with giant surf board for a wing.

What strikes me is why would you tell someone that, especially someone who is trying to support a local meet and has a huge passion for American muscles/classics?

Funny thing is that the bone stock V6 would outrun or hang with most of the original muscle cars of the day....maybe not the big blocks so much but definitely the small blocks.

Either way that was a pretty weak move.

Now that I think about it, it seems that edmunds brought up the point that the V6 of today was actually a couple tenths faster than an SS 396
