Front plates
What are you guys planning to do with your front plate? I had the dealer leave the bracket off for now, but I'm not sure what I'm going to do once I get my plates.

I was thinking about that plate that pops out from underneath the car - motorized or not, I am not sure yet. Ive got pulled over a few times with my mazda for not having a front plate and just get warnings. I don't really want to deal with that on the camaro though but I will not be drilling holes.

i will NOT be drilling the front of this car! no front plate for me. I will keep it in the driver door storage and put it on the dashboard when i get pulled over. ive never got a ticket for not having one before, but have got warnings. they say if its visible on the dash it will be fine...so a little deception would be ok! keep it close then put it up

Be careful, I got a warning for not having a front license plate, and it turned into a 100 dollar warrant because I thought nothing of it.

Damn
I stopped by Hy-Vee on my way home from work tonight, and of course parked as far away from the store as possible...all by myself. Came back out after about 1/2 hour, and there was a f@%ing shopping cart against the car with matching door ding in the passenger side door. Less than a week!!!
"Luckily", I opted for the Polysteel treatment when I got the car, which is suppose to cover up to 5 door dings...one down, four to go.

It's kind of scary how much attention this car gets. Honestly, I think I would rather have this car in Cali or Florida, where it's "more dangerous", than here with all the people who are so one sided about cars (imports vs. domestic etc.). South Dakota, especially Sioux Falls, is all about cars, and you will either be loved or hated for what you drive. People aren't afraid to **** it up in some way either. But there's always the chance that wind blew it into your car |

I'm hoping that it was the wind. This is SD, and there's plenty of that.
Polysteel is interior & exterior protection that the dealer applied. It is also kind of like an appearance insurance (6 year). Per the brochure: It protects paint from fading, chalking, loss of gloss, acid rain, tree sap, bird droppings, love bugs, industrial fallout, all insects, water spotting, and road salt. It also protects interior from stains (food, drink & oil-based), fading, chewing gum, loose seam stitches, ink, dye, lipstick, makeup, crayons, urine, vomit, punctures (< 1/4") and rips & tears (< 1"). And the platinum protection also covers cracking of the dash, 5 door dings, and burns (cigarette).
