2010 Camaro SS HELP

I just bought a 2010 Camaro SS, I'm new to the camaro thing so I'm looking for some options for my car. What plugs, good air intake, best chip to use, I'm just open for a lot of help if anyone is willing to fill me in on this stuff. Im just looking to add a little more edge, What exhaust sounds good. Thanks

Welcome to Camaro5 and congratulations on your new purchase.

You might want to check out some of the other threads in the performance section. They have tons of information.

As for mods, it all depends on what you want to do and how deep your pockets are. It is hard to say which is "best" when it comes to exhaust as everyone has different tastes. I am running a Magnaflow 3" catback exhaust. It sounds a little deeper than stock, but not too much louder. I did not want my car to be too loud, just have a nice exhaust tone, plus I got a great deal on it. One of the easist things to do is just delete the mufflers - gives a better sound and doesn't cost that much.

For added HP, there are a number of ways to add it. Again, it all depends what you want and how much you want to spend.

Good luck - once the Mod bug strikes, watch the checkbook!

I run a magnflow muffler delete with 4" tips, LMR cold iar intake, and a pretty agressive tune. Makes a worlf of difference

Schrant, there is no such thing as a CHIP to put in our cars, but you can have it TUNED, which is what you are wanting to do......

oh and btw.....CONGRATS on the ride and Welcome to our happy little corner of the net, and to Camaro5. There is a BIG fridge on the back porch with anything you can think of in it...help yourself...of course only take what you can LEGALLY have. Make yourself at home on one of the big fluffy couches, kick your shoes off, put your feet up on one of the tables, yes we are allowed to do that, mom's, dad's, wive's, husband's, girlfriend's and boyfriend's here don't care....and take it easy.

oh...btw....every once in a while a food fight breaks out...so you may not want to wear nice clothes here.

Welcome!!

Don't buy that crap. The usual route is cold air intake and long tube headers. Look into jannetty racing for a tuner. It's just as convenient and similar in price to a superchip but a lot better quality.

Do some research before you buy anything.

No superchips please*

If anything, go with a remote tune from Jannetty via handheld

the usual route is cai, exhaust, long tube headers dynotune, then you can go in a lot of directions forced induction, gears, cam swaps, suspention, but as stated above do some research, figure out what you want then set sail

I like my Rotofab intake. A set of long tube headers and exhaust system is a great mod too. I would find a good dyno shop and have them tune it. If you cant find a shop Janetty racing can send you a tune on a SCT tuner. I have MTI racing plug wires which im also happy with. Congrats on the car and welcome to the forum, tons of info and ideas!

I am starting out with CAI intake with the ADM race scoop and the Corsa cat back exhaust. The next thing performance wise is American racing headers and a tune. My decision for the cold air intake came down between CAI (cold air inductions), Rotofab, and Vararam. Something else to check out is the 5 and 20 fuse pull.

Congrats on the Camaro.
