I've been assured by the hard core manual guys at GM that this trans is the shit.

I'm thinking it will hold a lot more power than 650 as well..

I'm about as 'manual' as a guy can get, but if I was buying, I'd be all over that ten

Yes they are... Al is driving one now and said last week that it would be well worth the wait.

Had lunch with Aaron Link who is about as manual as you can get and he was all about this 10 speed. I don't think it's going to be as long as I was expecting. Hopefully early next year.

Now maybe they'll figure out how to keep their lead in the last seconds of the game.

Is Aaron the engineer with the red 69 Camaro track car? The Z/28 dude?

I don't think going with the manual would be a compromise at all, but that auto sounded pretty sweet on the road course.

Have they posted any 1/4 mile vids with the 10 speed?

Haven't heard times yet, but yes Aaron is the test driver who did the 7:43 ring time.

At the Woodward Dream cruise I had lunch with him and chatted a bunch about this car. He said the seat belts are very cool to as they have a ratchet system so you can lock them in tight (tilt the seat back, lock the belt in and then move the seat forward for a tight fit) The hood extractor has a rain deflector installed under the hood that you remove with 3 screws when on the track for more air flow. I also, drilled him over cooling and heat soak and got excellent responses, even after driving the track in my hometown of Yuma in the desert heat. He knows I like the track stuff so it's always fun to talk with him. Cool guy for sure.

They must have been going airborne out of the seat

That's thinking outside the box!
