Many of us in the Detroit5thgen club stayed at the Hampton Inn in Brownsburg and will be there as well this year.

Great hotel and closer to the track FWIW.

Yes, Brownsburg hotels are as close to the track as you can get and it keeps you a little further away from downtown Indy. I think that or Plainfield would have been a better choice for the host hotel - but they just don't have parking for 1000 cars..

One other area I forgot to mention is in the Ameriplex area. Just south of 70 (by airport) on Ronald Reagan Pkwy. There are 2 hotels there that they use for the LSX Shootout in the fall.

If anyone still needs a room, let me know, I have one at the Wyndham, checking in on the 31st of July, checking out on the 4th of August. I will be canceling.

just for those wondering in the future, the woman I spoke to at the host hotel allowed me to transfer the reservation to another name and said that person can now call and just give their credit card info to lock down the reservation.

Sorry I didn't get back to you. I will call with my credit card so you dont' have to worry about it and then try and give the reservation to someone or cancel it. And thank you again.
