The burnish op. is a variable I cannot control. What I have done is made the I.D. undersized enough to be brought into spec. based on what size pin you may have. What is obtained is an individual custom fit based on your pin O.D. This is a case of one size does not fit all. I have feed back of the Burnish operation taking very little time, (a few minutes) to taking a much longer time.
I will modify the next run of bushings to help ease the Burnish Operation. Bushing kits will be available to ship again starting 10-1. |

I'm sorry to hear about the problems that several others are having with the burnishing. Like, NH-SS said, it must be variable depending on the OD of the pin itself. I must have got lucky, as my burnishing literally took like 2 minutes and I was done and ready for install.

I think what it means is put the pin in a drill and use a little grease and work the pin in and out until the pin can pass through the bushing as it is a tight fit. Do both bushings this way.

Basically you put the cross pin into a 1/2" drill, then you put the shifter rod with the bushings already in it in a vise. Then you make sure everything is straight and then start "drilling" into the inside of the bushing. When you are done, the cross pin should move freely inside the bushing with a little bit of resistance. |

My kit is finally installed. It is great. Finally no wide slop and smooth shifting. Thank you
