Most folks shy away from manuals around 750 RWHP or so. You need a tremendous suspension to handle a manual with that kind of power.

Good luck! I'm just planning 500 HP and maybe a dry shot of funny gas...just in case. I'm doing drivetrain before HP now. Breakee parts, breakee wallet. Got me some lightly used "old style" 1000 HP GForce axles. The ones with the lifetime warranty. Gotta get a JRE modified diff and a Monster Clutch from Steve (his place is just down the street) along with a 1 piece driveshaft. As long as I don't do 6000 RPM clutch dumps I'm good with the modified stock diff. With 400+ passes with a stick car to my credit, it should all come back to me quickly. Bracket racing forced me to go auto if I wanted to ever win cash. (Cash is STILL better on the street)

Only regret I have on this car is having a manual. I'd love to do something like this, just don't want to mess with it though.

If you want a 6 speed, why did you buy an Auto, espeically since majority of the ZL1's out there seem to be 6 Speed Manuals.
