EARTHQUAKE!

So i wake up to a phone call. End the phone call and about 5 seconds later. My bed starts shaking, the mirror begins shaking, my bob marley painting almost falls off and the whole shake lasted about 15-12 seconds. First earthquake/tremur i have ever experienced in my life. I have been checking to make sure family are all safe and aware, havnt checked on the camaro yet but shes not my first priority. Family first. Hope everyone is ok

I saw this on the news. I can't imagine what it feels like to experience an earthquake. It must be surreal. Glad you and yours are o.k.

We very fiantly felt it here in Connecticut. My parents were laying down on the couch and recliner and called me at work saying they felt something.

My friend just sent me an article about this - I live right over the NH boarder where they supposedly felt it too - wondering if my dad was home and felt it....

got nothing where I am at work - though they say it was felt as far south as Boston....

Yes, sorry, I started a thread before I saw this one. My degree is in Disaster Science and although I hope everyone is OK, this is the kind of stuff that is cool to me.

Here is the info on the event:

http://earthquake.usgs.gov/earthquak...us2010xwa7.php

Looks to be closer to Cumberland area, about 11 or 12 miles deep.
