Dlr. has notice of his 1st two CAMARO build.

Dealer called today.

He got one hour's notice from ZONE office to confirm FINAL changes to his first two cars by 3.00 PM today.

He is getting 1 V6 (MINE) and 1 V8. Says Canada is all "manual" on this car.
I Removed the rally stripes and he sent me revised Work Bench as we spoke.

They have to sell these 2 before they get any more. He still has V8 allotment.Zone tells him to expect both at same time in mid April.

I found this Dealer on CAMARO5 ...

Does that mean he is giving you his non-alotment v-6 that all the dealers are getting first? or is he actually getting an additional 6cyl that is part of his initial allotment?

Can anyone else confirm this? Maybe this is just Canada? Maybe this is just your dealer? I'm just skeptical that there is only one dealer doing this, could just be jumping the gun.

These are two of his allotment. He says it is being done like his high end Vet's. Get 1 sell it ...you get your next one from allotment. This is his Feb consensus

Regional ZONE gave him only 1 hour to contact his customers for any changes.

Dealer is not pulling the trigger...zone office is. All zone orders have to be complete by Friday.

especially as it doenst match up with what we have been told about the ordering process from the dealers on here. we have been told the process really starts on thursday, is given the weekend to finalize orders, and then is drawn into the system.. I thought it was monday night or first thing tuesday morning.

Also we are 6 weeks from the start of production and the march consensus hasnt taken place yet. all sorts of stuff doesnt match... though i guess it is technically possible.

Definitely odd since the first consensus isn't announced until Friday. Need more input.

Welcome to Canada eh!

No one has ever said the dealers up here were going to be force fed a 6cyl.

That why they call it GM of Canada LTD.

What am I missing here? Chevy invoices the dealer. At that point the car is considered sold by Chevy. What do they care after that as long as they can invoice the dealer and the dealer pays for it?

We all keep hearing,"The dealer is the dealer and can do what they want. Chevy has no control over the dealer"...

This is just bizarre.

Looks like this isn't the only dealer in canada that got this, sounds like those to our north are having things move into high gear.
