Yep, have it only when I don't let the clutch out in neutral before starting off.

I had the 2nd gear grind. my dealer put a new transmission in at just under 3,000miles. it now has 34,000 miles and runs great. 2011 2SS with factory hurst.

Getting a new synchro installed. Decided to upgrade my clutch as well.

Got a new second gear and synchros......works awesome. Really feel the difference. Clutch is ok.

I know this thread is old but I'm going to try and ask anyway... My car has 42,xxx miles and is out of warranty but I have the dreaded 2nd gear grind. Is this something chevy may have recalled and they will put in a new synchro because of the recall or am I on my own for the repair costs?

Your car still has the 50,000/5 year powertrain warranty. I would take it to the dealer and speak to the service manager.

No gring to second, but I can hear a noise when I push the clutch in. Like something maybe loose. Any info?

I have it, '14 SS, 6500 miles, MGW..
had it from new with 70 miles and OEM shifter too. sometimes into 4th as well, but not as bad.
