I have not driven an SS, but after driving this V6 for a couple days and can see that it is going to be one awesum car, I can only imagine what a handfull an SS could get to be.. I have already had mine sideways withouT trying hard.. I had driven my Son's 98 Z28 and I swear this is very close to that in how it feels seat of the pants wise.

i got my ss (2000)when i was 17 and if i where you i would get the 1ss used for a couple grand more. you might ask why ? 2 very important reasons
1) you cant beat the sound of an 8
3) if you save and get a ls3, when you take your friends out they will love the v8, how it hauls the extra 4 to 500 lbs. there faces will light up and say man this car kicks ass
that is all

Hmm you either have one big ass friend, or several small friends that can fit in the back... Not much room back there for normal sized people that may add 4 to 500 lbs... LOL

Yeah I'm really liking the LLT engine, great 6 cylinder and has plenty of power to enjoy!

Dude just test drive both and decide. Go to a dealership that has both cars.

I basically test drove the 6 witout testing the 8 I said to myself if this is a 6 the 8 must be more exciting!

I think for the majority of people on this forum, we gave up on showing our friends how big our balls are.
As a Veteran I have all the ribbons and medals I need. I dont need to Impress anyone and I dont need anyone telling me that my car kicks ass.
as far as I'm concerned if you dont like my base model V6 you can kiss my ass, I guess thats another way to get their faces to light up huh?

plus your friends must be tiny. I can barely fit my 6 yr old in the back seat of this thing.

that is all
