Who did the tune for your Cam that you added later? I see you are VVT Cam so I assume your car is an L99 auto? If so just tuning the trans is a major improvement alone in my experience.

The fact is cars are expensive to modify and tune correctly. You probably should have done a little more homework and come up with a plan to modify with less tunes involved. Ted's policy of charging for a tune and providing a tune for parts bought from him has been around for a while. Steve has a great reputation as well and his SCT X4 deal has been around for quite a while too. Both of these guys have great reputations and a positive attitude toward their customers.

Are you saying that you didn't feel much of a difference in performance with just the cold air intake and headers? Between the transmission tune, the roto-fab intake and long tube headers, my car was quite a bit faster. I don't rely on seat of the pants testing I bring it to the track.

I would think you should be pretty satisfied by now having the cam in there.

I would say thats a good thing that you went to 2 of the most popular remote tuners on here and that there really wasn't a horsepower difference. That shows they are pretty efficient tunes. Sucks you paid more... but its good for us! Thanks for being the guinea pig!

I just finished my TSP VVT 2.2 cam install and my impression with Steve has only gotten better. He is a tremendous guy that's a pleasure to work with.
