paint under factory warranty????

Quick question guys.....have any of you gotten a partial or full paint job because of problems/defects in the factory paint? I ask this because I have a couple spots where my clear coat is peeling and I know its nothing I've done because I take care of my paint. I baby the car for the most part, its a 2011 with only 15000 miles. So I just want to know if anyone has had any paint work done under warranty and if so how was the experience...did the dealership give you a hard time and those kind if things...

Did you buy the car new? Its more likely that its peeling because its been unproperly painted before you bought it? Factory peeling clearcoat is almost impossible.

Chevy wont warranty it if there is any sign its been previously repaired and painted.

Yes I purchased it new...First pic just shows that the rest of the car is spotless the second pic shows the spot that's on the driver's side door. There's two other smaller spots as well.....

Greetings DJ UNKNOWN,

You shouldn't have a problem if a diagnosis at a certified GM dealership reveals a defect. Paint is covered by General Motors against defects in material or workmanship under the terms of your vehicle's bumper-to-bumper warranty.

Hope that helps,

Maybe the car was damaged in the delivery process and repainted/recoated? It's happened before, most likely not the case but just a thought... Had some thing similar on my impala ss after a new clear coat was put on after a door was repainted

That sir, started as a pinhole due to a rock chip. I've seen that happen before. Maybe the dealer will see it your way. Best of luck to you.
