I woke up this morning really missing my truck...

As a lot of you have probably read, I got my Camaro when I wrecked my 2008 Sierra. Best vehicle I've ever owned. Crazy as it sounds I got 3-4x the comments on it than I have my Camaro.

Anyways, I've been in love with my 2LT/RS since I got it, but this morning I realized I never once obsessed over my truck. I was 100% content. I had over 117,000 miles on the thing and drove it everywhere I went. I loved that thing. I've got 25,000 miles on my 2011 now and I'm about to buy my fiancee's old twice wrecked but still running Malibu to drive back and forth to work every day, so my car will be my weekend/date car. At this point, I don't know if I should just get a used LS3, or go get a truck like I had and have $100-150 less payments each month.

Ahh, such a hard decision I don't like that I woke up missing my truck so bad. Usually when I get like this, I know what it means. I've had a few cars in the past and I always get jonesy for a truck again within a few months.

I don't know if I'm just unsatisfied or what, but man, I miss that big V8 sound. I know I could get that with an SS, but there's just something about a V8 truck that you can't replace even with an SS.

If nothing else, I would LOVE to find an old 2nd or 3rd, even 4th gen Z28 with a crap ton of miles just to have to play with.

Well , then there is only one way to solve the problem , but only if you don't really make use of a truck , instead of going around in circles get the ZL1 , and be done with it .

Being a home owner, I find it hard not to own a truck. I couldnt have a camaro as my DD. I love my car, but not practical for me being a DD. Gotta have something to make the Home depot runs in.

LOL...I wish I could get a ZL1. My fiancee and I talked about it last night and she said she was fine with me getting an SS, but she'd rather wait until I had a good bit of it paid off. With a truck I wouldn't even mind going down to the 07+ body style or to an F150 and having an extra $150 in the bank each month.

It's just hard to haul rock in the back of a Camaro. A good wife, a good dog, a house, a 4X4 truck, and a camaro.(Both with V-8's). What more does a man need?

Buying beater cars can get really expensive really quick...plus it sucks driving a POS all the time.

A V8 truck sounds real boring to me....but it's your money. How often do you haul things?

I will never understand the truck thing. As I have never had a desire to own a truck. I see many that have trucks and NEVER transport anything in them that can't be easily handled with a car. If a truck is needed for moving something that the car will not accommodate I just rent a truck for the day.

I bet you could find some great deals on a new silverado since the body style just got a refresh for 2014. The 13's will be deeply discounted soon. If not already...Id have the truck before my Camaro if I could only have one. I have a 2012 2500 RAM w/ Cummins diesel that I use for work + everyday driving. My 1LE just sits in the garage....Thinkin of selling it myself.....
