how many c'5 members use car wash?

Just wondering if anyone uses a machine/automatic car wash on their Camaro. I know most of you cringe even the though of someone cleaning your car other than you let alone a drive through car wash. I am asking because I live in the city and that's the easiest way to clean your car, you look like a fool cleaning your car on a side walk with a bucket, plus it's harder than it sounds. Is this a hand wash only car?

I hand wash it only. The cloth ones are and the laser ones do a bad job.

Never. Too many surface scratches. And, yes, I have washed mine at the curb. I never had anyone say it was silly.

One alternative is a self-service spray wash place. Water the car down with the wand. Bring a bucket with soapy water and sponge, and hand wash it. Then spray it down with the wand.

I would be one of those that cringe at the thought of it. been hand washing cars since I bought my first new one in '98. the closest I will come is one of those coin operated ones where you wash yourself. if it's the middle of winter and I have to get salt and sand off I'll go there. but otherwise it's only hand washing.

oh, and you never look like a fool with a camaro, no matter what your doing

Drive through washes, only when extremely desperate, once in 2+ years

I use the hand held wash to spray the car off if I am in a hurry. I normally hand wash but a really good wax job and detail spray can really go far in-between washes

I mostly have my car washed by hand at a Car Wash, but they know me for many years and I supply them with my own mittens that are cleaned after each wash and has no sand or other things it them. They use on fresh cloth to dry. That's just me for more than 20 years when I used to have Corvettes. For 10.00$ I beleive that it is not worth spendeind 2 hours washing-drying me car. I do the interior myself though...

I use touchless washes all the time.. Go through then drive home and park it in my garage then go over the whole thing with detail spray and do windows, rims, tires...The whole process takes an hour from start to finish and it comes out showroom gleaming everytime!!

I use to do hand washes only all the time as well but as touchless washes became more and more there really is no reason not to use them, there perfectly safe on your paint!
Granted they don't do as good as doing it by hand, they do get the dirt off and then doing a quick detail after words always assures just as good of a shine as if ya did it yourself in the driveway....
