2014 1SS 1LE CRT
We I figured I'd start a thread for my car that I have owned since late March of 2021. Long story short, I wanted a 14-15 Z/28, but still raising 4 kids from the ages of 12 to 4, the price point wasn't really in the cards to get my wife's approval. I wouldn't say I settled with the 1LE, because this car has been an absolute blast. A lot of car for the money. I purchased the car from another member, Ira, he ordered the car back in 2014 and under his ownership he took extremely good care of the car. Here is a list of mods added to the car prior to my ownership:
Stainless Power 1 7/8 SS Headers w/ high flow cats MBRP 3" Exhaust CAI Air System w/ Apex Scoop and Windshield Fluid Bottle TB ported by Bo White Tuned by Nic D @ Arizona DYNOCHIP When I purchased the car it had 16k miles, and after this last weekends trip to LA to pick up my new Recaro seats it now has 24k. Which I'll be repairing the stitching on the drivers side seat belt loop. The Recaros were the one option I wish it had when I purchased the car, but that problem has been solved now! Since I have owned the car, I have replace both door panels w/ 2SS silver inserts. The old ones were scratched badly. I also replace the dash trim piece w/ silver inserts to match the door panels and I also replaced the side plastic pieces on the center console, those were scratched from the seat belts. And just last week I located a factory front splitter and kit at a dealership down south, which it's white, but I'll have a buddy that owns a body shop color correct that to black. Then here about two months ago I located a set of factory Recaro sets in Southern California near my mom's house, and just this last weekend I was able to make the 23 hour round trip down there to get them and install them. Oh and I replaced the factory Goodyear tires w/ Michelin Pilot Sports last summer. So far this is where I am at....next is probably going to be a new hood wrap and coil overs. To me it sits a little high and I'd like to lower it a bit. I really enjoy the community here and the knowledge, it has truly been helpful along the way. Thanks Doug |

I get what your thinking. I think I'm in mine for life too, and if be super happy with that. The only thing I think that could pry me out would be a ZL1/1LE.
The Recaros are one of the parts I love the most... That and the way longtubes with open nnp. A cam might be in my future.
