I hope to keep my Camaro in mint condition and hand it over to my first grandchild when he or she is old enough to drive.
Welcome to our little corner. We've got some nice folks here. Having grandkids is lots of fun, and you will find new levels of spoiling them! I know some of us probably loved the outcome of the game last night, but it wasn't really a very good game.

Working on plans for Hot Rod Power Tour in June, but I'd love to see some of the other Old Farts there.

It's music Monday and here's my contribution. Dwight Yoakam is so talented! I heard this song the other night when I was line dancing....

Another Old Fart here...
I just ordered my Camaro today! 2SS/RS, Black in and out with the Auto transmission.
I can't wait to give the grandson a ride (he's 4), I think he'll love the car as much as I know I will.
8 weeks and counting!

Welcome aboard Vjc834! We all wish that darn mirror would lie but most of us also don't want to go back to our days of youth. I am glad to be more like a fine wine than grape juice. I'm not sure I will ever get to be a Nana. But Norm's right. Get out on a track & test that 1LE's metal & you will feel quite young enough!

Mike brought the truck to my office today & we loaded up the big stuff from my office. Now my office is so naked it has an echo. I could not possibly dread this move more than I do. I need to win the lottery so I can just retire already! I have a couple of notes to do then off to bed. Have a good evening everyone.

Welcome to the group. You will both end up with PermaGrins! While you are waiting surf Camaro5 and you might learn a lot and answer many questions you didn't know you would have.

JamesMyBoy, Welcome! You must have posted while I was typing my post. Sorry I didn't notice.

Good morning crew, It is going to be another rainy day here; a bit warmer, but still yucky. Then it will be back to cold temps for the rest of the week. This winter is a real bummer. Hurry up spring! Coffee time now then off to work again.

This made me think of some of you northern O' Farts:

What a yucky rainy commute home. Pepper does good in the heavy rain though. Hope everyone farther north is safe & warm in the wintry weather. I only had a few clients show up again today so no homework tonight. It is time for this weather to break so both buisness & fun can get back to normal. Have a good evening crew.

So, I was through Nashville about 3pm today, it was washing gulleys pretty good! At the I-40 & I-24 split going east I was in the far left lane, ran into a lake under the overpass, I threw a wall of rain 20 feet up and 40 feet out..... If that was you beside me, I'm truly sorry

Yep, It was truly yucky. But at 3:00 I was at work & I stay the heck off the interstates in Nashville as much as humanly possible. They are full of idiots! Hope your drive was safe & you are in some better weather conditions.

Did a Seafoam treatment on my son's Cavalier this evening, then changed the engine oil. I ordered some tune up parts, just waiting for them to arrive.

Gave my son another lesson in looking stuff up in the manual (maintenance and fluid capacities) and showed him how to check the oil and pour some in the engine.

He's not much of a DIY'er.

Good for you Rick.

This morning there are some creeks flooding & some water main breaks around the area this morning but most of the rain is past other than some light drizzle/mist/freezing drizzle in few areas. But the temps are going down today. I am so over winter! Come on spring! Happy hump day everyone.

I am QUITE familiar with that very spot!

Around 10 years ago, the interstate at that spot was being renovated and the flooding in the left two lanes was even worse. I was unaware that the drainage was so bad until coming up on it in the far left lane with a semi to my right (visibility in the wash of the truck meant that I had no warning that there was a lake ahead) ...

Yeah - the Explorer was pretty "undriveable" after that. But the good news was that even after going underneath a tractor trailer and into a wall, I was able to walk away (after crawling over the seat and forcing open the rear passenger door) with only glass guts on the backs of both hands and a slightly strained left knee! Damn, I loved that truck!

At least it was only water.

Around Philly we've had some mix of rain and freezing rain this morning, apparently worse north and west. Got two drivers in the family these days - my son is in the process of picking up a load of A/C equipment just south of Philly headed for FL, and my son-in-law is/was in northern PA.

Didn't expect to have these kinds of concerns back when my son was in the kitchen side of the restaurant business and S-I-L worked as an auto tech. The curve balls life throws sometimes . . .

Even tough that was a bad day, looks like it was still a good day. You walked away

The killers are inattention and driving too fast for conditions... Grace of God and prayer goes a long way in this business, for the agnostics, I have proof
