New K&N Typhoon CAI??? What do you think??

What do you think about the new K&N Typhoon CAI it looks just like the roto-fab but the k&n only comes with a polished metal intake tube versus a plastic tube like the roto-fab. I understand the roto-fab has an optional polished intake tube also but what is better?? Is a plastic intake tube better than a polished?? or vise versa??? Im sure there is not much difference between the filters and Im sure theyre both oiled filters but why did it take k&n so long to come out with a CAI if there is nothing special about it. Dont get me wrong I like how the k&n looks and I also like the roto-fab but right now Im trying to get to the bottom line because I dont know which CAI I want to go with and this just confuses me even more. I know most of the CAI out there perform the same and you basically buy one because its your preference and you like it because of the way it looks.

K&N has a plastic tube too. Do a search, they list the part number somewhere in there.

I would bo with the roto-fab. I believe it uses an S&B filter which is twice the filter that the K&N provides.

While they are both awesome systems.
The Roto-Fab has proved to me that they are a great company to work with, and I would use them hands down.

I do not knwo why K&N has taken so long to release their version, and to be honest I was a little turned off by the fact that they would not give me any info when I called for months on end.

I am sure the K&N will be a great product, but with what knowledge we have available today, i would go with the Roto-Fab.

If you have any questions please let me know, i am always happy to help.

Rotofab does indeed have a radius'd inlet which is what a "velocity stack" is.

These are suppose to be COLD Air Intakes, JOB Deliver Cold Air to the engine.

Plastic is a Great Insulator, Where Metal Transfers heat quite Fast.
