You guys are all very kind. Thanks again.

As for what's in store later this week (assuming my schedule cooperates), here's the ride I'm currently rolling in:

http://twitpic.com/3a8wb

The V6 sounds great and has good power -- plenty of punch for most people, I'd hazard. RS package looks nice, and Aqua Blue Metallic may be my new favorite color.

So in your opinion, does it almost feel like a different car with the V6 or the same "soul" so to speak?

Oh, it feels different -- there's no escaping that -- but that's not a bad thing. GM's made two distinctly good cars here.

how does it compare to a mazdaspeed 3 when it comes to straight line performance?

i think they are supposed to be about the same right?

I haven't driven the Mazdaspeed3, so I can't help you there.

Based on my highly-sophisticated ass-in-seat and "one-one-thousand, two-one-thousand" regimen, it's a little over 6 seconds to 60 (maybe 6-and-a-half) from a dead stop. Your results may vary, of course.

For a base-engined car, this is pretty killer regardless, especially when you factor in the 29 mpg estimated highway number. This powertrain combo (V6, auto, shift buttons on the wheel) is completely enjoyable. Would make for a hell of a commuter.

Compared to the crap V6 Camaros of yore, this car is a revelation.

So Alex (Noonz), the question now is will you be trading in your Mustang GT for a new camaro anytime soon?

And the answer to that one is "No." Still making payments on the 'Stang, which I do love very much. That said, one day, it will invariably be time for me to buy another "new-to-me" used car. A nice, clean Camaro SS might look pretty hot in my garage at that point...

Preferably a convertible. GM really needs to get that done.

When do you think we can expect the new article, Alex? I'm looking forward to it.
