I did the TV test before if the signal is messed up on the tv then you need to mod the harness.

Your TV will need the yellow RCA input to test and you need to power the camera.

Issues

OK so i got mine and was super excited to install it. I already have a 13 with mylink. All they sent me was the nav unit and a splitter with three plug and play connectors. I plugged it in and the screen didn't come on at first. After a few minutes it finally came on. After that it worked going forward. I switched my xm/sirius sub and thought i was done. Only clicked on the nav to make sure it came up. I went out of town this evening and tried to test it and low and behold it won't let me put in any destinations. Not even sure how to activate it. I don't have the nav faceplate but found it in options except its greyed out even when in park. I can't set my home address or anything else. I can only look at poi's and click on those to setup nav. Not what i want. Can someone shed some light on my issues. Maybe I don't know how to use it. Voice recog sucks and I don't wanna go that route.

Ill be doing My install this weekend, just waiting for My License plate camera to get here. Did not want to cut the bumper in any way and I wanted the adjustable parking grid lines.

Got this last night from one of the 2010 guys with back up sensors.

I installed MyLink 2010 manual - no camera delay
Hi Ofer and GTPprix,

2 things.

First, I was one of the MyLink orders that had a 2010 2LT with manual transmission. I elected to have the kit shipped to me anyway despite hearing of the backup camera image delay issue. It arrived Tues (yesterday) and I just finished the install after midnight... and the camera image on the MyLink faceplate comes up right away, no delay. My car does have the backup sensors, as it was a later 2010. I also have the non-NAV faceplate, but paired with a NAV headunit. In other words, as GTPprix thought, the image delay issue doesn't seem to affect 2010 Manual transmissions that already have the backup sensors. Just thought you guys should know since I know a lot of people are still waiting for their kit. Here's a quick video I took to show that the image comes up right away:
https://www.dropbox.com/s/pqoanhu82o...ckup_video.mp4

By the way, I also didn't have to dremel my 4 pack gauges to make everything fit, interestingly.

Second, can I order one of the USB/Aux connectors (the one that goes in the center console)? Long story short, the USB plug got damaged (pulled out a pin) and now it won't register devices. In the MyLink instruction video #9, Ofer you mentioned that you can sell just the connector. Here's the part I'm talking about:

So it may be only the 2010 M6 cars that dont have back up sensors, but still have 1 V8 i am holding sending them till we here from him, we will send out e-mails in the next day to see who has the back up sensors.

When we hear back for the V8 guy and its ok we will ship out the units.

Here is the link to that quick and blurry video if anyone else is interested (this was the end of a long night). For some reason it didn't format correctly in the original post. I just wanted to capture both images coming on straight away long with the "R" indicator in the dash display. So yep, good news for manual transmissions with backup sensors (V6 at least).

Ok, the mylink camera needs data from the backup sensor module for a good performance and if you notice the display is changing when you touch the hvac control we need to make some upgrades

But my car and many cars don't have the backup sensors, and then it works in A6 cars with out the backup sensors why.

Sent from the seat of my Z/28 using 5th gen telepathy.

Why not tap into the reverse lights somehow on the manual 2010's? That should be an instant signal and must be tied into a connector somewhere in the dash.

Can you see the gear position in your cluster?

BINGO! now you know why the A6 change instantly and if you make a diagnostic with GDS2 you will see some DTC , because when shift to R the Mylink receive data from BCM and Parking Assist System
