Question Emissions

I really don't plan to mess around with different mufflers, resonated x's, etc. My plan is to go lt's, x pipe, straight 3"pipe. Who is similar to this set up and do/did you experience any hassle when going through testing?

As long as you have no CEL and visibly the cats are there (visibly it can't look like you've tampered with any emissions related items), you should be fine for emissions. It's rare to have a state hook you up to a sniffer with a newer car.

If you go to the VEIP next to the airport in Westminster, they will undoubtedly only plug into your OBDII. With the crazy amount of aftermarket exhaust systems in Carroll County, I'm sure the operators don't even think twice. That being said, I'm not going to weld my exhaust until I go through emissions and pass. Clamps until then! HAHAHA!

Not sure where in Md you are, but the VEIP in Annapolis has a DIY kiosk. Drive up, plugin, wait, PASS, go home....
No visual because no one to look at your car...

I have no cats, so that is the way I am going.

WHAT?!?! That's awesome. I mean, I know it's a bummer that it's a missed employment opportunity, but it makes sense. Looks like there is one on Owings Mills on my way home from work!

Thanks for the head's up B4wheeler!

Even if you have no cats I don't think it matters, just don't have a CEL and you're golden. Yeah they look with a mirror but I bet they aren't actually looking but rather just going through the motions.

Yep. I will be going to the one by the airport in Westminster.

A tune after those mods will take care of any CELs, correct?

Yup..have a chat with dynoSteve...per my sig ZERO cel, 21ish hwy mpg...ZERO start up and run probs(even on the really cold days)..he told me would pass ALL emissions..
BUT nobody can pass if you go to manned testing station and they decide to do a visual(if the exhaust is really loud one possible reason)..my shortys are CARB...so got that covered just in case....peace out...
