I'm not trying to save the world or anything so I hope people do not get their hopes up. As for the manual V6 issue, lot's of info on this site which explains everything.

Also, I was just wondering on the rumor of that they are actually going to get the parts on the 18th of May but are pushing everyone back so we quit harrassing them.

Assuming that parts are arriving on the 18th, wouldn't you throw an extra 2 weeks in there just to be on the safe side?

More bad news....my sales guy just got off the phone with DBC. They did not give him true info yesterday when they told him my car was on a shipping hold. It is on a quality hold, as will be all the cars due to the battery cable issue. We all know how efficient GM has been at fixing these quality hold cars.
Add that to the CAW issues, and it does'nt look good for any of us to have cars soon execpt the few that are shipping since they started fixing the battery cable issue at the factory. So maybe anybody who's cars were made in the past week will end up with a collector's item huh?

Looke like they would want to keep their people employed and not jobless so I think they will make some more concessions. I am sure the employees want to keep working.
Hylton is doing what he can so lets give him til next week before we hang on his every word.

Don't worry about the plant folks - it will still be there June 2nd. Just look at Chrysler right now (bankrupt). Looks like business as usual to me.

Don't bail, still waiting for my 2SSRS manual, built 3/26. My dealer had to do horse trading to get a V6, red RS LT, Test drove it, turned heads all over town, great take off, handled very well on hilly, twisty back roads, very impressed overall. Can't wait for my SS. Still POed its been in Oz for 6 weeks, but not bailing!

I have seen Hylton on the post repeatedly saying to hold on until next week. Does he work for GM and / or how is going to help. Understand I am not being negative I guess I do not know the background. Please Help..

My car was released Thursday from Quality Hold with a new battery cable.

(I gave up and got a GT500) 5/11/09 - order cancelled 5/27/09 - vehicle arrived at dealership for whoever bought it after me
