Brake Cable ??? what is this cable
I’ve had this sound that sounded like whirring. Thought it was the diff and then the wheel hub bearing. Finally found out it was just this cable rubbing against the inside of my wheel.Looks like the cable is toast and complete gone now. But I cannot figure out what the cable is for. My parking brake is broken but I think there is a different cable for parking brake anyways that I found. Can someone help me figure out this cable lol. I don’t think it’s the parking brake cable, normal brake line, sensor cable - i’m out of ideas. What is this?

Looks like the parking brake cable to me.

Yes, the ABS sensor is just a very thin wire inside some rubber. Very easy to overstretch and break.
