Pandora through radio?
I tried doing a search for this and found nothing that is how. The people in here that listen to pandora, do you plug the device into the aux jack or through your iPhone/iPod? Thanks for the info.

Thanks.... Do you select it as the app or is it a option on the radio select dial? I haven't messed with that yet, just played music.

You can also connect via Bluetooth if your phone supports it and you have the Convenience and Connectivity package (comes standard on the 2LT and 2SS).
That way your phone can stay in your pocket if it's not a long enough ride to worry about battery life.

I haven't tried Bluetooth yet, but I bet the sound quality and volume are going to be better with the USB.

Your bet is correct. The sound is much better with usb/aux in cables

I don't notice any difference in sound quality wireless versus USB. Keep in mind USB data rate is measured in the mega hertz range. The human ear only hears about a 20,000 Hz range. So the bandwith in USB is about 100 times more than you need.
Do you think there is a coding issue which decreases the quality of the audio?

And you're limited to the digital to analog converter in your source (phone, ipod, etc) when using analog AUX. The analog in on your preamp might not even be up to snuff. Using an untouched digital connection is always the best case scenario. Too bad Bluetooth uses compression. It would be awesome to have a lossless wireless digital connection!
I wonder how Pandora would work over USB using an Android phone? If you could control the phone/Pandora using the cars head unit, I'd upgrade to the PDIM module in a heart beat! My car only came with the AUX jack. Is the Camaro's head unit mainly compatible with Apple products only? |

Did not realize that.
So can you guys tell a significant difference in btooth v USB? I'll have to listen closely. I haven't heard a difference listening casually. Btooth is certainly more convenient.

i hear a big difference especially in low quality songs. i did this and really heard a huge difference. i hooked up my iPhone with Bluetooth and played thru some of a song to get used to it then i plugged it into the usb while still playing (my ss switches to usb automatically) and the song has a whole lot more depth and clarity.

Interesting. I wonder if that's why GM hasn't put wireless music in any other vehicles. At least, not as of last summer. Not even in the caddys, according to the salesman I worked with when I bought a suburban.
Anyone aware of btooth music in other manufacturer's vehicles?
