Just used my warranty a few weeks ago. Nothing major, just blew the engine http://www.camaro5.com/forums/showthread.php?t=246533 !! Lucky for me the 100K powertrain covered it, I was at 76K!! But can't complain, its a great car!!

When I exited the highway to loop back around it wouldn't shift out of neutral :( After 10 mins of me trying to psych it out by changing gears manually (using the automatic paddle shifting / putting it in reverse) it started to work again. Check engine light never came on this time. Still, I dropped it off at the dealership on friday rather than risk it having further problems. Still awaiting feedback to what the issue is now... WTF.
Got my car back on friday.. (just happens to be my car's 3 year anniv).
So after they had my car for 7 days, they ended up replacing the upper and lower valve body. So far I've only driven about 40 miles but things seem normal.. car feels like it has a bit more prep than before..but could just be I had a slower rental to drive.

Here is the tech notes from this time in the shop:
Quote:
POSS POWERTRAIN OR GMPP//CUST STS THAT AFTER DRIVING ABOUT
15 MINUTES AND COMING TO A STOP THE TRANS WOULDNT PULL IN
DRIVE. BEFORE THIS IT WAS SHIFTING HARD INTO PARK FROM DRIVE.
ADVISE
CHECK FOR CODES AND FOUND P0878/P2724 CHECK OUT BOTH
CODES AND THEN CALLED TAC. #71-1092509786 AND WAS TOLD TO
REMOVE TCM/SOLNIOLDS AND CHECK OUT AIR FLOW THROUGH EACH
SOL. DID SO 3 TIMES EACH AND STARTED AT 70PSI NEX 80PSI
THEN 100PSI TO CHECK EACH ONE ALL FLOWING GOOD THEN WAS
TOLD TO REMOVE VALVE BODY AND CHECK EACH VALVE FOR STICKING
DID SO AND FOUND 1-2-3-4 SHIF VALVE STICK IN BORE OF BODY
ALSO FOUND TCC REGALTOR VALVE STICKING
REPLACE VALVE BODY UPPER AND LOWER AND REFILL AND CLEARED
CODES AND ROADTESTED AUTO FOR 11 MILES AND FOUND TRANS TO
BE WORKING PROPERLY AT ALL SPEEDS AND ALL GEAR RANGES AT

Other than that the Car has been perfect after over 2 years.

Tire pressure sensor failure $$ forgot amount

Front tires $800 (factory misadlignment)

Full exhaust headers back $$$1600 parts and who knows on labor

Now an low oil pressure either sensor or pump relief..... either way another $$$1000 job

how does GM profit given these failures........ 2001 Toyota celica gts 186k miles with no failures..... then again it was a perfected 20 year old japan design and manufacture

warranty

heater core blew up at 14,000 miles
air bag modelue was replaced due to heater core issue
rear chevy bowtie it was falling off
headlight switch
rear right speaker on order because it's making crackin noises.

My warranty ends January 25th but she only has 28,000 so I'm hoping I can get a few extra more miles on her with no issues:(

Not yet trying to wait. Radio likes to lock up and need reset once in awhile and rear passenger tail light lense cracked (waiting on this don't want them taking the whole bumper off to fix it I know it will get scratches in it from being manhandled) I have trust issues!

Warped rotors at 12,000 kms, water pump at 24,000 kms.

I currently have brake fluid leaking from the reservoir which I believe was done when I had the brake fluid flushed in the spring. Also have a crack running through the plastic screen over the tach. I'm just under 60,000 kms, but have extended warranty.

2. AFM lifters

My Onstar VCIM crapped the bed, and lost all power to the rear view mirror, including auto dimming on drivers mirror at 6k, took a week, gave me a 2015 land yacht(Tahoe), and 2-1/2" drips/missed paint on the passenger door at 100 mi, which turned into a damaged blue plastic dash trim piece(still fighting this), and a few more visits to remove halos from the paint cause the tech didnt understand how to operate a buffer.
