Well thats good to know. Glad they figured it out. I think they are 2 of the best tuners out there.

Yep, learned a lot, like not changing things until we know 'where' to examine! Never would have thought too much power, but looks like the 6L80E is 'slower' to shift. Manuals don't have that issue (they do have CAGS tough).
Glad to know, was odd since before all the changes, (below 650 RWHP) it was working fairly well (some hesitation, but not bad). I wonder if the 6L90E has that issue when @ 700 RWHP? Just glad to know and have that knowledge.... -Don

-Don[/QUOTE] Ask the Pro's. lol CAGS is easily disabled on the manuals. One click. Like mine. Gone..... I don't do auto tranny tuning other than wot shift points. Don't mess with it enough to learn and retain it.

I thought that might be the case. So, you are going Ballenger?

Not to distract from this enlightening tuning conversation going on but, is this your car hammdo? Think it's your car. Caught pulling in and parked a bit later I think.

Well, I reckon if getting caught pulling into the CFestVII host hotel Wednesday evening and parking is busted, indeed he is. If it's his car that is. |

That would be me, and all its '1000 mile' grim on it ;o). Didn't have a chance to clean it until after NCM. Look @ all the bugs and that brake dust on those wheels -- you should see it now that its been cleaned! I got there Tuesday, and finally went to the Hilton on Thursday (Stayed closer to NCM).
Mark -- going NTK version -- according to Dave. He said that version is all I'll need. He's working on becoming a dealer for them, so, that is the way I'm going... -Don

Just spoke with Aaron @ GPI -- I'm in the queue! Everything is set, just waiting to know 'when' it will be ready. I'm going to drive her up to GPI and have them install the long block -- will save me quite a bit of time -- so install and tune all @ once!
After talking with Aaron, I'm going to sell my L99 long block -- with the GPI heads, cam, etc. She'll have about 60k on the short block when the new one is ready, 20k on the top half and timing chain -- strong engine and will make a great drop in for someone -- $4000 shipped. Basically gonna take the old engine out, crate it, ship it to whomever wants it. With 20k on the upper half, probably should consider spring updates -- has the BTR .660 in it right now (titanium). Usually good to about 25k miles before changing. Anyway, all coming together! -Don
