Best snow tire for 20inch OEM rims??

Looking for a set of good tires that will function in the snow this year, but most of what I have found are for 18inch or smaller wheels. Im not looking to buy smaller wheels as Im in the process of getting married and buying a house, so money is kind of tight. Any opinions on a good snow tire that will fit my factory 20s would be greatly appreciated. Thanks

Bridgestone Blizzak is a very popular option.

These or check reviews on tire rack. We also have a Tire rack rep here on the forum. Check out the wheel and tire section for a dedicated thread for winter tires/wheel selection.

What I did was buy a set of OEM 19's and put Blizzak DM-V1 tires on them. Needed 5mm spacers on the front to fit over the calipers. Works perfectly.

Nitto makes a nice winter tire in the OEM 20" sizes.

Blizzaks. Scorpions. Nittos. Can't go wrong with any of those.

I ran Nitto NT90Ws in the stock 245/45 and 275/40 sizes last winter, and in 6-8 inches of snow, up and down hills, the car was a beast and I never had a problem. I definitely recommend them.

Blizzaks are number 1 but can run you $450 a tire.
Michelin X-ice, Dunlop just came out with a new one.
Toyo Proxes 4 Plus A
Nitto NT90's
Pirelli Scorpions but I don't think you can get them in that size since they are a "light truck" tire.

Personally, I just purchased a set of OEM 5 spoke wheels and the Michelin X-Ice tires.

Traditionally, the snow tire with the least rounded shoulder and the thinnest width is superior to those with more rounded shoulders and wider width, in the intended role of 'snow tire'. You goal is not to create 'snow shoes' that spread out weight to get traction on snow. Your goal is to concentrate vehicle weight and cut through the snow and slush to contact the road and make traction on pavement.

A more rounded-shoulder tire will provide superior ride and handling compared to the one with the more angular shoulder.

Respectfully to the people with all-seasons, that is fine and if good enough is good enough, then that's that, but an all-season will never compete with a real snow tire in the element the snow tire is designed to excel in.

I bought a set of used Blizzaks on ebay $400 three years back. They have gotten me home in 5" of snow.
