NEW CHEVY 350 BUILD

Hey guys so i have a buddy of mine and he had a old 81 k10 chevy and had a 350 motor in it. He has recently yanked it out striped it down to just the block and sent it in to get machined and boared 20 over.
Well i was helping him move and didnt know he just had it laying around. so he wants to sell me it for 500 bucks for the block and all the parts.

Its got a new machined crank and fresh block but things like pisons and heads are old.

I think i might pick it up and start building it from the ground up. The big question is what do i build it up to. Turbo build? Supercharged build? Nos build??
thinking about making it powerful. more so leaning towards a turbo build and put some fatty turbos on it just build it up to be a fun engine.

Then once i get the drive train in order with tranny and motor all that jazz gotta find a old school car to put it in

so torn between c10s, camaros, chevelle, cudas (if i can find one), or monte carlo, GNX,

will keep updated on the build process just thought id post something and see what eveyone thinks

enjoy.

If you buy that block the very first thing you should do is to make sure that it was properly crosshatched so the cylinder walls will retain oil and provide adequate lubrication for the rings. The OEMs and ring manufacturers have developed very specific surface finish and bore geometry specifications for their engines and rings. Also consider what type of rings you are going to use Cast vs. molly rings. Just be sure that the bore finish matches the ring either way you go.
