Stabilitrak Questions
Hi all, I recently put on a pair of Race Star 10.5x17's in the back, which work perfectly with their rubbers, MT ET Street R. At times, when doing a burnout, the Service Stabilitrak came up and shut off all of the "nannies." I figured this was irrelevant because I ran it in PTM5 anyways which shut down all of the nannies. However, some burnouts did not cause the car to throw the "Service Stabilitrak" code, and these few times was when I ran a 10.6 vs a 10.7-8. Maybe an engineer could step in here and explain if this code would retard the engine or even put the car out of PTM 5?
When driving on the road with the radials and stock fronts, the S.S. never appeared. However, yesterday my skinnies came from Summit, M&H Racemaster 28x4.5x17, in a radial, mounted on Race Star 4.5x17's. We lowered the car down from the jack and the tires looked visibly low, as if they were under inflated. We filled them up to their max. PSI of 35 pounds and they still looked too low. However, we took it for a ride and after about a quarter mile, the car threw the code. After a few more times of shutting the car off and reseting is, we determined that it happened mostly while turning. We put the stock fronts back on, and the car never threw the code. The max. load on the tires is lbs, could the car be too heavy for the tiny tires? Thanks

I would like to hear more on this as well.
I turn my TC off by holding the button until the lights come on. Do my burn out using just shear power and a tad of brakes sometimes at first and the service stabilitrac comes on everytime. I haven't had a run where it didn't happen but I'm intrigued to know if something is wrong or slowing me down.

Just have to deal with it... Skinnies in the front seem to throw of the sensors due to turning limitations, but other than that, no answers.
