'13 2SS 1LE VICIOUS, NEED ADVICE

Kinda new here, supp! I need 4 tires 4 my '13 1LE & I wanna buy the best poss, the 1's on it are 285/35zr20 all 4. Does anybody got advice, like, does a bigger tire work on the back 2, does it still drive smooth? I'm pretty naive, & the guys on the tire sites are so not objective, I need real Camaro boys' thoughts.
ALSO, I wanna do raised whiteletters on them, like IMPOSS to find unless you buy those rubber stick~ons, does anybody think they are GOOD, actually..?
PLZ HELP! THANXX!

Would bf Goodrich’s force all seasons 305 35r20 be ok on the rear? Rubbing an issue?

I had them on the rear, no issues at all. But good luck finding them.

I'm also asking this question only because it's not just a little savings. I'm finding some at around $200 less A TIRE. I won't be tracking my car at any point in the near future. Just use it on the highway and city driving at the moment. Would be nice to save a little money.

Should I still skip them if I'm not driving my car particularly hard? That's a pretty huge savings at a time when finances are a little tight.

The lower Load Ratings don't seem like a big deal on the surface. But I want the cushion of the 100 rating. Why? If I have a blowout/flat, the other tires have to take up the slack by taking on more weight and forces. The peace of mind is worth it to me in paying for the 100 rating.

I have been running Michelin PSS 4S tires for two years on many autocrosses, and they are starting to get heat cycled. The only modification to the car is the 32mm bar in the rear, which took out all of the understeer. Im wondering for my next set of tires if I should stick with the 285s or go up to 295s. I plan to keep the square set up as it worked very well for me.

Is Pete still around?

you went down to the 30 sidewall vs the 35?

I had thought about doing that as well. That is a pretty significant difference in tire size thought. The 285/35R20 is 27.9inches tall and the 295/30R20 is 27.0inches tall.

This makes the sidewall 0.45inches smaller than stock… My initial thoughts are the smaller tire would take less torque to rotate/weigh less and lower height by 0.45inches. I would also think a smaller sidewall would also make the tire more stiff and reduce the sidewall wear but it might make the rear end too loose considering I put a larger rear sway bar in......

With this being a car used only for autocross at the moment, I worry this would induce understeer back in the car i have removed by installing a larger rear sway bar.

Figured I'd post this since our cars are getting up there in age and the TPMS batteries are close to their end of life.

OE TPMS sensor ACDelco 20964159

After digging i found out the standard SS uses a different TMPS, one with a rubber valve stem. 1LE, ZL1 and Z/28s have the metal valve stems which these are. Also if needed heres a link to the sensor nut that holds the TMPS in place
