I checked and it is a 74 but the previous owner had changed it to where it was that style of a rear window.

1974 would have a 4 in the sixth position of the VIN 1975 would have a 5

1974 VIN breakdown: Second digit is model code:Q=sport coupe, S=LT Coupe
Fith is engine: D=250ci, H,k,l=350ci, T=350 Z28
NO SS MODEL
1975 VIN breakdown: Second digit is model: Q=sport coupe, S=LT Coupe
Fith is engine: D=250ci 105hp, H=350ci 145hp, L=350ci 155hp
NO Z28 OR SS FOR 1975

Hope that helps

Yea he messed up the whole top of the car really so I am Just gana replace it. It's costly but better than having a 75 window on a 74 to me.

The 74 Z28 had special stripes.
If it has no stripes and no other badging
, and it's not a 6. Then it's a base V8. Maybe an LT.
I wouldn't be able to tell you much else without pictures.
I sold my 74 to get my '10 SS.
You could also get a Z28 without stripes. Then you would get the Z28 badging. That's how mine was ordered...
