Burt Reynolds is gone like Pontiac, as it was part of the Chevy Family Rest In Peace.

That’s why it’s posted in off topic and I didn’t know I needed your approval to post whatever I want on this forum!

Probably the best movie actor to me during my teenage years. Always wanted a Bandit Trans Am but never got one. Can’t find one decent enough that I could afford in my adult years. Went by Trans Am Depot in Tallahassee this year but they are just not the same. Rest In Peace, Son!

Snuck in to see R rated Deliverance when I was 16 on my older brother’s driver license.

That was a pretty scary movie for a teenager back then

This thread just may be a microcosm of the old adage that life indeed goes on. ‘Ol Burt, had a pretty distinguished career that may have culminated in conjunction with him and an American, iconic car. But by 2018, he was so yesterday. And probably even represented what many younger Americans loathe - a man’s man who interacted with WOMEN. (gasp!) And more than likely never attended a ‘rainbow’ parade. Being of the geriatric persuasion, I’m glad to have had the opportunity to watch the dude on the silver screen. (that’s that thing in a theatre they show movies on!)

My a-hole older brothers showed this movie to me the night before a canoe trip down the Shenandoah river, told me it was filmed there.
They had a good laugh.

Probably about 14 or 15, they were in their mid 20's.
