The Danica in NASCAR saga continues

The Danica in NASCAR saga continues

its on ESPN 1 I think

Carfax 250

3 laps down early, think she needs a lesson on pedals.

Gas on the right, brake on the left

Its not like she is a low sponsor driver with a low budget team car that can't keep up...

Its starting not be funny anymore; just sad.

I hesitated to respond because I hate to keep any talk of her going because she is highly, highly overrated.

But she makes a good shower commercial though. As long as she can attract sponsorship dollars, that's all that matters, because that's the direction NASCAR has gone.

I agree, she's there as a symbol and marketing ploy - and it's working. Best finish thus far, 24th.. I know it's a different car than the one she's used to (Indy), but honestly, most of the Sprint Cup tracks are nothing but left hand turns, right?? I'm just sayin..

back from the dead, I think the big problem is she expects to feel the same ammount of downforce or feel as a Indy car. She needs to hit the dirt and learn how to turn right to go left wide open.

I didn't mind her driving in Indy, she was doing better than some of the men, she's in a different game now.

but the men from Indy have had no such problems with the switch, they take it up quiet quickly.

Long as they are popular enough to get big sponsors like her to have the best of the best, they do well.

Though still think she is just afraid to wreck going for it. What has held her up in Indy, she doesn't want it enough to lock wheels at 210 for a chance at a win.

I beg to differ. Many of the cross over drivers haven't done well. (Michael Andretti, Boris Said, A.J. Foyt) Most of the ones that came from dirt track have done extremely well because they are used to their cars not having traction on the back end. (Carl Edwards, Tony Stewart, Both Busches, Kasey Kahne)

I think racing dirt track in her off season could do her a world of good.

Here's a great article from Jalopnic.com titled "Why Danica Patrick Can't Win At Racing".

http://jalopnik.com/5627886/why-dani...-win-at-racing

"She has not even bothered to learn the most basic facts about the design of the cars, and only learned at the last race about the "truck bars," a standard feature of a stocker and one way of altering the handling. Drivers do not have to be mechanics, but they need to know what can be altered and what effect it will have. Every driver I ever worked with understood the basics of set ups, some far more than others."

I couldn't agree more.

I have NOTHING against women in racing...in fact, one of my favorites is Ashley Force Hood in the NHRA...but Danica's arrogance and constant whining are getting really old.

She's done nothing in the Nationwide series, and she's become pretty much of a back marker in the IRL.

I believe her days of any relevence are numbered...its pretty hard to be a spokesperson for a product when you don't produce results.
