Want Michelin PSS on 1LE....

Hi everyone,

Hoping someone can tell me if the Michelin PSS tires in sizes 295/35/20 front and 315/35/20 rear will fit on the 1LE with stock rims? I think the Michelins are a little wider than some of the other 315's people have put on their cars so does anyone know for a fact if they'll fit on a 1LE? Appreciate the help, thanks!

Jordan from JDP Motorsports runs those sizes on his Camaro, not a 1LE, but I do know they fit on his...I think there was some self clearancing that took place though with the inner fenderwell. Maybe he or Tyler will chime in on this one.

I don't know about the 1LE, but I am running a square set of 285/40's on 19X10 wheels on my 12 SS. I would think those would fit on the 1LE no problem.

Considering the 1LE comes with 285's on all corners, of course they fit...but that wasn't the question posed...

He was asking because the Michelins are supposed to run wider. I was just trying to help.

Aren't some of the ZL1 guys running this set up? If they can we can.

Thanks for the help so far, much appreciated.

The ZL1 guys are running these tires and the 1LE has their rims but I just wanted to be sure before I ordered $1600 worth of tires that they would fit with no rubbing. Thought maybe the ZL1 might have something a little different that we don't.

You have a point, but I would bet it's the same. Maybe pass an email to either Jordan at JDP or Pete from Pedders. Those guys would know.

295/35 on the front seems a little too big. It may fit on the wheel but it will stick out past the fenders much much further than stock.

There are 2 versions of the 295. One has a load rating of 101Y and the other is 105Y. The one you want is the 105 but it is a little wider than the 101. The 295 105Y is as wide as some 315's in other brands. And watch out if you try to lower the car. Then they really won't work.

285/35's in the front definitely work, though. SoCal has them and they seem to be the best fit for a stock 1le on the front.

The 315's in the rear work but they are almost flush with the quarter panel lip. How much they stick out will depend on alignment and ride height.

I have 275/35 and 295/35 105Y and am moving up to 285/35 on front soon. If you want to see the 295's on the rear 11" wheels, look at these pics: http://www.camaro5.com/forums/showpo...4&postcount=99

Hope this helps. Any experts in here, please correct anything I may have said wrong... lol

In this post, you'll see PSS 295 with lowering (I suppose)

I've ask about some pictures of ZL1 with 295/315 on these topics ... without success lol

Actually, alignement is a big concern on how these wide tires will fit.

I just ordered a set of 285/35/20 Super Sports to go on my ZL1 rims. They were $100 less than the 295s and $130 less than the 315s, saving me $460! Just couldn't see how a few mm could be worth that much but guess I will find out. I'm currently running 275/315 Continental DWS so hoping for a nice improvement.

Beautiful car Jgalewsk! Did you remove your hood wrap yourself? Looks nice.

Ok, that helps a lot, thank you Jgalewski & Oliv59!! I think a PSS 315 would probably be a little too wide so will probably go with 285's on the front and 295's on the rear.
