Mine are blue, but I used these in my cupholder:
http://www.oznium.com/prewired-surface-mount-led

They have the resistor built in.

I also used the AAC footwell SMD lights.

I remember seeing about this.

I wanted to drill close to the back and have just have one LED low inside the cup holder itself.

The footwell and cupholder lighting are pretty easy. I did them both myself.

Red looks good all the time for about anything. There is a reason for red. As I am in the military and get paid to fly.... The red does not effect your night vision to the extent popping on a white light will do. Now you are probably not going to roll down the highway with your red lights on but in theory if you have to flash your interior light on to find something you will not be effected when you return to dark... Note... this is all void if you have a led that mimics the sun and is off the charts bright. But anyhow.... Love to see the pictures when you get it and a parts list. Post them up. I am a light pervert and if were up to me the whole car would glow like the machines in Tron. Hey.... Why cant they make that anyhow. lol

Heres mine, Vince...i did mine more of a nontradtional way, i believe it turned out just fine tho..best part its cheap, no resistors, nd no hard parts
