why cant we get the grey stripe package without the b92 insert? i was asked to change my order or lose my allocation so i did, i plan to change the insert later on so why cant i get the grey stripe package now?

because they have the car setup that way in the system.

basically there is a compatibility matrix of some kind and the stripe packages are only alowed in certian configs.

The minute you cancel the B92 you have to to the black strips or no stripes.

they do this so a dealer can't try to order any option they can't build. the tranny out of a cobalt with the LS9. ha ha. in this case since it is all looks it seems stupid.

People will laught but I did a lean manufacturing event and a Freightliner Plant and they did not have this setup well and they were constalty modifing trucks right the assembly line because fo fitment issues. Dealer would mix the wrong wheelbase with the wrong exhaust. they had over 600 engines you could order. it was crazy.

Have the stripes "painted" on, any color that you want, after taking delivery... problem solved!

I don't trust paint shops, besides the point is to get it from factory like that.
