Looks good...I like it. An easy competitor to the Taurus....although it does look pretty similar in the front end, thats not necissarily a bad thing either.

Interior is great to...aside from that steering wheel. Steering wheel sucks is the first thing I thought when I saw the interior...then the good stuff shined through.

Wish people complaining about RWD would just stop....that car is coming.

something to consider about e-assist.....

The EPA Drive Cycle does not take into consideration a lot of 'stop lights' or stop and go driving.

In city driving where you sit at lights a lot - the difference in fuel economy versus a non-e-assit car is substantial.

Don't care about FWD, but a AWD model would be nice The Taurus, CHarger, and 300 all offer it.

This car is inspired design wise from '60's full size Impala's that I remember growing up with in my family circle. My dad had a '61 Impala conv. with a 348 big block, this was the car I rember having my first taste of Chevy performance and from there he bought numerous chevy's thru the years. Now my favorite of his early car's was the '66 Caprice with the sport pack, candy red with black low back buckets and console, it was the SS version for the Caprice lineup. Great memories!

Wow, looks awesome! Maybe when it comes out next year we'll be able to trade in our '11 Impala for one of these. The interior space on the Impala is great for a my family of 4. We can seat both car seats and an adult in the back comfortably.

Wow now thave ive seen all the pics of this car im throughly amazed by it. I dont see taurus in the front at all, other people are blind or have ford googles on cause the front is definate camaro inspired and its more canted forward than the taurus which actually canted back a tad and the lower grill is way different and bigger. Anyways interios i awesome except for the steering wheel that is a confusing piece seems out of place in that nice interior. I say way to go Gm keep the good designs comming.

+1 to all you said only, call me crazy since it seems many have pointed out about not liking it, but I actually like the steering wheel design. Honestly, it looks like one you could comfortably hold for long commutes, or get a decent grip from which ever hand position you deem worthy of using. Naturally, actually seeing one in person and test driving would be the ultimate deciding factor, but I just love it. (Ideally, I'd love for this to be RWD with a V8, but that animal is coming under a different skin, wearing the Chevy bowtie. ) GM is really stepping up the game in the design, and all other, departments, IMO, and is doing a terrific job all around. Great job, GM!

This is quite an improvement. Looks really good. They should sell a lot of these. Not sure the base engine will hold up to the mass of this car over a long lifetime, but hopefully that won't be a problem.

I like it. I just hope the company I work for goes back to GM for Company cars. My 07 Impala was my favorite company car.

I'll admit it looks worlds better than the last two generations of Impalas....but still, something is off. I don't really care for the shape of the rear end and is GM going to make every Chevy have Camaroesc design cues? The interior looks great though, for a FWD the specs aren't bad either.
