Ground EFX

What is the thought about the use of the ground EFX package from Chevy or an aftermarket kit.

Chevy's kit...$2265 not painted

http://www.carid.com/product.php?pro...=125826&page=1
$1200 painted

Need your input

I like having a warranty. Plus who knows how well engineered the aftermarket products are... even tho chevy did have a slight mis-hap in the beginning, but they swiftly fixed it and no problems since. I say go with the chevy package.

More often than not, aftermarket looks too "ricey" too

keep in mind, the $2265 is installed price but not painted. If you get it painted , the warranty of the GM GFX itself becomes void. It doesn't make sense but it is true. Something to think about.

They told me the same thing at the dealership, which is where the warranty obviously hinges. I figured, hey, it matches the stripes...

I had my dealer put it in writing that they would honor my GFX warranty.

Which they installed TWICE! (another story)..

Where was I? O yeah and they painted it also......

I'm waiting until winter is over, there will probably be more ground effect kits by then.

IMO - the GM ones look much better than any other company I've seen.

I feel that sticking with GM parts helps resale value. Not that I will sell, but I like value.

I think the only problem Chevy had was the fact that the dealer techs weren't reading the directions. They weren't using the rivits, only taping the front piece, which came off without the rivits.

Its tuff

Its a tuff call, I dig the factory look but everybody has the same kit...I don't want go off the tracks and be overly different but on the same hand I know where I live the dealer sold a white with IO int with orange srtipes and painted kit in my city so I would have a twin to that one but I also have the sunroof...

Don't get me started. The problem is solved and behind us. You're kinda right, but not really. No offense. Lol

I like how clean the factory kit is. Haven't seen an aftermarket that I would like to
see in my car everyday for a few years. GM did a great job there.
I've been looking for them in Ebay for a while but most where resellers that do not have it in stock. And right now they are at GM backorder.
Got lucky yesterday and an invidual had just posted one for auction, I sent him a PM
and asked if he would sell it buy now for $1,400 and he agreed. I should be receiving my GFX before my car gets here. Probably the Pedders suspension too.

We like the street scene package. Looks extremely good.

We like it so much, we contacted them and they are letting us sell it on our site. I have not bought mine yet, but that is what will be on my car.

Thanks, Roger
