Happy Thanksgiving everyone! How large/heavy are the turkeys that y'all are cookin' up? lol. We stuck with an 11-pounder this year.

Got a free 16 pounder from Wild Turkey Distillery and Matthew McConaughey. Sometimes, living in the middle of bourbon country has its perks.

Happy Thanksgiving to all C5 members.

Happy thanksgiving everyone! I'm deepfrying a 13lbs turkey and baking a ham. The sides will be stuffing, mashed potatoes, sweet corn casserole, green bean casserole, macaroni and cheese, sweet potato casserole, extra sweet corn on the cob, fruit salad, and cranberry sauce. The appetizers will be spinach and artichoke dip and seafood dip. And for dessert, pumpkin cheesecake and Apple pie. I'm not half azzing anything and will be making it ALL from scratch

Awesome! Will you be curing the ham yourself?

You caught me, I'm going the lazy route with the ham but I will be glazing it with honey and brown sugar and covering it with pineapple slices and cherries...im also cheating on the dinner rolls but to make homemade Hawaiian sweet rolls would take 2 weeks of preparations

Update: I just got done with the seafood dip. It's crab, shrimp, and lobster in cream cheese with minced onions and garlic. I can't promise it's gonna make it to tomorrow

I got a bird too just for the sake of Thanksgiving. Every year, the prime rib is the star of the show. My butcher cut me a USDA Prime four bone rib for $9.49 per pound.
