I have one. I'm putting it on the dyno the first saturday in may to put the 14 claim to the test. So far though I love it.

I personally like the Typhoon one better. Looks a lot cooler and its 1HP less according to KN, who cares? Haven't seen any independent dynos though.

I got it from filtersandintakes.com. I just checked though, and their price is back up to $321. It was either on sale last week, or they had made a mistake. Whatever the case, I only paid $247 (free shipping).
I did a search on google after seeing another Camaro5 member say in another thread that he got his for $247.64. There is a 63-3075 K&N Aircharger on Ebay for $258 shipped. But the same person also has the new 69 series for the same price.

I just installed my K&N Aircharger. It was an easy install. First CAI I've ever installed, took me maybe an hour. Only problem I had was on the first start after hooking up the battery, I heard something, not normal. It only happened for a second on the first start. I shut it off and turned it back on a few times and was unable to re-create that sound. Nor did I experience any indicator lights on my dashboard. I took it for about a 60 mile ride, and experienced no problems. Anyway, the K&N Aircharger changed the sound of the car quite a bit in my opinion. It isn't too far to say it sounds like a 94 or so Mustang GT.
Here is a picture of the install:

I'm a newbie here after jumping over from a 2000 Vette and was wondering if the K&N 63-3075 Air Charger voids the factory warranty? I don't think it does but thought I would ask you guys who have already installed?

If they can prove that your modification is the cause of your warranty service, then yes, it does. Magnuson-Moss Warranty Act prevents them from refusing warranty service.

I just installed a Corsa Cat Back 149532 and a K&N Air intake 63-3075 on my 2010 Camaro V6 automatic RS. I am totally thrilled with the sound. I know everyone’s taste in sound preference is different but this was the exact tone I was looking for. I would describe it as a deep, muscular, refined tone. Not raspy, no snap-crackle pops, no cabin drone. For me Corsa nailed the sound I wanted perfectly. I think it looks great as well. I’ve attached my sound clips… the live sound is far better than these sound clips I recorded today.
Revving Corsa Exhaust 14953 on a Hard Acceleration - Corsa Exhaust 14953 on a Hard Acceleration Drive By - Corsa Exhaust 14953 on a Easy Drive by then Hard Acceleration - Corsa Exhaust 14953 on a Hard Acceleration from in the vehicle - Corsa Exhaust 14953 on a 45-50 MPH Drive By - Corsa Exhaust 14953 on a I am also including the before after Dyno. Not a huge performance increase but I was going for sound and looks and at least no performance loss. Dyno Legend Red Line = Before everything stock (Run conditions - 90.67 degrees, humidity 42% - average run of 5 pulls) Green and Blue Lines = After installing K&N 63-3075 air intake and Corsa 14953 Exhaust. stock (Run conditions - 92.38 degrees, humidity 42% - worst and best pull out of 5 pulls) This was a tough decision for me, as I am sure it is for you, but I could not be happier. I hope this info helps you with your decision. |
