K&N 63 series AirCharger Intake

Hey there, just ordered this K&N intake (part 63-3075) for my 2010 1LT v6, was wondering if anyone has this already? How is the sound when excelerating? Does it affect gas mileage? How is the HP increase?
Thanks!

K&N AirCharger

I am seriously considering buy this also. Since nobody responded to your post I might just go ahead and order it to see for myself. Or, I could wait for you to get it and try it. I'm a little surprised to not find anyone who already has it.

Love it. Have not put it on a dyno yet, but it passed the butt dyno. Sounds great, easy install, and really improves throttle response. mpg I don't know yet - there seems to be a hit but it's only a few tenths of a gallon - but that may be my foot.

Great post and picture, thanks a bunch. I just ordered mine last night, I couldn't wait. Heard it sounds meaner and adds 15 hp. Some people are saying it improves fuel economy but I can't see how. Found a good deal at http://www.filtersandintakes.com. Hmmm, that's odd. I bought it last night for $247.67, now I just checked again and it's $321.04 same as http://www.autoanything.com. Filters must have got a phone call from Anything for undercutting their prices because they have guarantee to beat any K&N price by $10.00.

That tube looks kinda skinny. Is it just the picture?

KMPrenger and I are pretty much always on the same page when it comes to aftermarket stuff. So I agree with him....wait things out for these independent tester to complete the info. That and search through threads already created. The k&n, airaid, hpe, and others, all have the same similar setup though the tubing is possible different it is a closed hood system reliant on the stock scoop and a rubber gasket sealer on the edge of the box. So the price that you get maybe for just the name of the product>>>

Same here. I never dynoed, swo it may be pacebo effect. I also added a Flowmaster catback exhaust (with mufflers) and I love the sound.

I agree whole heartedly. Wait for products to be tested by independent testers. Manufacturer claims can almost never be trusted. Where as a maker will claim 15hp increase, we'll only see like 8. And for the love of God people.. Dont trust someones BUTT DYNO! Butt dynos stink.

Like I said, I haven't put it on the dyno YET. We have an Austin dyno day coming up and I'm going to put this to the test. I have no stake in K&N, I have a satisfactory history with using their products, and I want to test a new product. Chill out
